Overview
The MTL830C multiplexer is a cost-effective alternative to single-loop isolation. A hazardous-area analogue transmitter collects multiple sensor inputs and sends them to a safe-area receiver over one twisted pair carrying both power and data.
Installed wiring cost drops by up to 50%, and host inputs, cabinet space and weight are reduced. When the transmitter is in the hazardous area the data highway is protected by an MTL5553 digital isolator. Accessories include stainless-steel enclosures, a USB cable and PC configuration software.
